Screening Mesh
What is Screening Mesh?
Screening mesh which can also be referred to as quarry screens, or screen mesh is usually a replacement part/screens for processing machinery. Screening mesh is used in various industries and applications, including mining, aggregate processing, construction, food processing, pharmaceuticals, wastewater treatment, and many others. It is employed in vibrating screens, trommel screens, sieve shakers, filtration systems, and other equipment designed for particle separation and classification.
Why Graepels Screening Mesh?
Graepels take pride in manufacturing our quarry screens and woven mesh screens to the highest of standards. We ensure that the highest quality high tensile and high carbon stainless steel wire is used in our screens. With over 65 years of industry expertise Graepels ensure quality woven wire with strength in every weave.

Replacement Screens

End Tensioned Screens

High Tensile Woven Wire Mesh Aperture: 1.6 mm to 150 mm
Woven Wire Thickness: 1.2 mm – 13 mm
Mesh Types: Square Mesh, Rectangular Slotted Mesh and Elongated Mesh
Crimp Types: Flat Top, Double Crimp, Lock Crimp, Corrugated Crimp
CRIMP TYPES
FLAT TOP
All the mesh knuckles are on the underside, allowing material to move more freely over the screen, while keeping plugging to a minimum.
DOUBLE CRIMP
Evenly crimped in warp and weft, providing a rigid construction. The wires are under-crimped and sprung together, thus giving a tight mesh. This is used with lighter wires to ensure tension in a light screen.
LOCK CRIMP
A variation of the double crimp which ensures that the wires remain in their exact positions.
CORRUGATED CRIMP
Extra crimps in warp and weft with the wires seated in every third and fifth crimp. This creates a rigid mesh when making slotted mesh, even when the aperture is large in relation to the diameter of the wire.
Mining: Used for screening and sorting of ore, gravel, and other minerals in mining operations. Heavy punch plates are particularly suitable for handling abrasive materials commonly found in mining environments.
Construction: Employed for separating aggregates, such as sand and gravel, during construction projects. Punch plates are also used in vibrating screens for sizing and grading aggregates.
Quarrying: Used in quarry operations for separating and classifying stone, rock, and other quarry materials based on size and quality. Heavy punch plates withstand the harsh conditions encountered in quarrying environments.
Recycling: Employed in recycling facilities for sorting and classifying recyclable materials such as plastics, metals, and paper. Heavy punch plates are suitable for handling bulkier materials in recycling processes.
Waste Management: Used in waste sorting facilities for separating diverse types of waste materials for recycling or disposal. Punch plates help in the efficient sorting of materials based on size and composition.
Pharmaceutical: Used in pharmaceutical manufacturing for sieving and classifying pharmaceutical powders and granules during production processes.
Energy and Utilities: Employed in power plants and utilities for screening and filtering applications related to water treatment, fuel processing, and waste management.
