Why Graepels Perforated Stair Treads?
Made to measure staircases, both spiral and straight, are available in kit form which are ready for fitting on-site. Graepels manufacture a range of stair treads which are suited to staircases.
Our stair treads are available in a variety of materials and finishes including steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The SafeDeck range offers an excellent variety of choice with an extensive array of patterns available. Many of our most popular profiles are held ex-stock and are available for immediate delivery. Perforated staircases and stair treads are types of stairway components designed with perforations or holes, typically made from metal materials such as steel, aluminum, or stainless steel. The perforations provide added grip resulting in non-slip stair treads which are ideal for use in outdoor areas or in wet areas where added grip is essential.

Graepels manufacture perforated strips for an anti-slip edge. These can be added to the stair nosing as a cover or edge on the existing step.
For Public and Industrial sectors Graepels offer a variety of different perforations specific to their application. The front edges are smooth, and the folds are welded with lateral fixing holes.
All Steps are designed for 5kN/m2 uniformly distributed load and 1.5 kN over 200 x 200 mm concentrated load. Steps or stair treads with higher load capacities are available on request.

Universal Step
Graepels non slip stair treads suitable for outdoor stairs or for areas where a high slip resistance is required.
Universal steps and stair treads offer excellent anti-slip and drainage. These steps use two perforation types; countersunk (pressed perforations -downturned) and upturned perforations providing added grip for the user.
Garden Step
The pattern and perforation type of the ‘garden’ safedeck pattern offers high drainage and an anti slip surface for safety and security.
The term “Graepel Garden” refers to its possible applications within the private and public sectors. ‘Garden’ can also be applied in the industrial sector. It is suitable for barefoot use. Upturned and down-turned perforations offer a degree of anti skid and drainage.
Pearl Step
Graepels Pearl step is ideal for indoor use, the perforation type is suitable for underfoot.
Pearl steps and stair treads are comfortable underfoot. There are no ‘open perforations’ on the pearl pattern hence there is no drainage. Pearl steps are available hot dip galvanized.
Stabil Step
Graepels Stabil non slip stair tread is an ideal solution for areas where a high slip resistance is required. The serrated edging offers high grip.
The prominent characteristic of Stabil are the upward perforations, which are 45mm long, and raised with serrated edges. With one of the highest slip resistances within the Safedeck range, enormous drainage and transverse stiffness, Stabil is your choice for outdoor applications including onshore and offshore sectors.
