What are Profiled Components?

Profiled components are parts that are cut from material using laser cutting. With computer control we ensure consistent and accurate cuts across multiple components.

At Graepels we understand that nesting and material utilization are important. Our aim is to optimize the layout of your components on the sheet to maximize material utilization and minimize waste using nesting software to arrange the parts efficiently, considering factors such as part size, orientation, and spacing.

From initial concept discussions to delivery, our teamwork with our customers to ensure that your components are manufactured to the highest quality and accuracy from materials to tolerances.

 Laser Source: Laser cutting machines are equipped with a high-powered laser source, typically CO2 which is what we use at Graepels.

  • Sheet Metal Parts: Profiled components can include sheet metal parts that have been laser-cut, stamped, or formed into specific shapes and sizes. We work with you to ensure these parts are nested well to minimize waste. These parts are commonly used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and construction for applications such as enclosures, brackets, panels, and covers.
  • Design Requirements: Provide detailed specifications and drawings of the sheet metal parts, including dimensions, tolerances, and geometric features. Clearly communicate any specific requirements or considerations, such as bend radii, hole sizes, or surface treatments. This ensures optimum design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Material Selection: Discuss your specific requirements for material type, grade, thickness, and surface finish. Different materials, such as stainless steel, aluminum, or mild steel, offer different properties and are suitable for different applications.
  • Material Specifications: Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminum
  • Material Thickness: Enquiry specific – As a general rule we can comfortably cut up to half the maximum material thickness range which would be 12mm mild steel, 8mm Stainless Steel and 4mm Aluminium
  • Sheet Size: Up to 3000 x 1500mm
  • Size and Shape openings: There are no limits to shapes and sizes of openings. The only limit is your imagination!
  • CAD Design: Graepels can work with your drawings to ensure accuracy and precision manufacturing to
    customers specifications.
