Punch Plate Screens

Why Graepels Punch Plate?

Heavy punch plate refers to a type of punch plate that is made from thicker and heavier gauge metal compared to standard punch plates. The increased thickness and weight make heavy punch plates more durable and suitable for applications where greater strength and resistance to wear and tear are required.
Punch plates are commonly used in manufacturing for various purposes like filtration, screening, ventilation, and sorting. Punch plates are made from various materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic, depending on the specific application requirements.

Punch Plate Screens

Punch Plate Screens are used in industries like mining, where they are subjected to high levels of abrasion, impact, and stress. They are used for tasks like screening, sorting, and filtering heavy materials such as rocks, ore, and gravel.
Other sectors include agriculture, construction, and food processing; however, punch plates can also be used for drainage covers, public landscape like tree surrounds and much more.

Perforation Size: 0.5mm – 150mm

Perforation Type: Round, Square, Elongated and Hexagonal are common although other shapes are available for more on capabilities please contact us.

Metal Thickness: 0.5 – 12mm. However, Graepel can perforate up to 25mm thick on special request

Sheet Size: Plate sizes up to 4m x 2m

Metal Type: Perforated screens are mostly supplied in mild steel type 43A and Stainless-Steel Other materials can be perforated to meet your requirements.

% Open Area: All open areas are physically possible. Standard tooling tends to be between 20% and 60%

Pitch: Heavy punched plates (perforated screens) are supplied with 60- or 90-degree pitches
depending on their application. It is important to consider the bridge between the holes; it should be greater than the thickness of the material to make the screen durable. In certain cases, flow is more important than longevity.

Mining: Used for screening and sorting of ore, gravel, and other minerals in mining operations. Heavy punch plates are particularly suitable for handling abrasive materials commonly found in mining environments.

Construction: Employed for separating aggregates, such as sand and gravel, during construction projects. Punch plates are also used in vibrating screens for sizing and grading aggregates.
Quarrying: Used in quarry operations for separating and classifying stone, rock, and other quarry materials based on size and quality. Heavy punch plates withstand the harsh conditions encountered in quarrying environments.
Agriculture: Used in agricultural machinery for separating grains, seeds, and other agricultural products. Punch plates can also be used in crop cleaning and processing equipment.
Recycling: Employed in recycling facilities for sorting and classifying recyclable materials such as plastics, metals, and paper. Heavy punch plates are suitable for handling bulkier materials in recycling processes.
Food Processing: Used in food processing equipment for sieving and sorting food products such as grains, cereals, and vegetables. Punch plates can help remove impurities and foreign particles from food products.
Forestry: Used in forestry equipment for separating and processing wood chips, bark, and other forestry products. Heavy punch plates can withstand the abrasive nature of wood processing operations.
Manufacturing: Employed in various manufacturing processes for sieving, filtering, and separating materials in industries such as automotive, ceramics, and textiles.
Waste Management: Used in waste sorting facilities for separating diverse types of waste materials for recycling or disposal. Punch plates help in the efficient sorting of materials based on size and composition.
Petrochemical and Chemical Processing: Used in screening and filtering applications within petrochemical and chemical processing plants for separating solids from liquids or gases.
Pharmaceutical: Used in pharmaceutical manufacturing for sieving and classifying pharmaceutical powders and granules during production processes.
Energy and Utilities: Employed in power plants and utilities for screening and filtering applications related to water treatment, fuel processing, and waste management.

Overall, punch plates and heavy punch plates serve critical roles in various industries where efficient screening, separation, and filtration of materials are essential for production processes and product quality.

Versatility: Punch plates can be customized with various hole sizes, shapes, and patterns, making them adaptable to a wide range of applications and materials.

Customisation Options: Punch plates can be tailored to specific requirements, including hole diameter, spacing, and arrangement, allowing for precise control over filtration or screening processes.

Strength and Durability: Punch plates are typically made from sturdy materials such as steel or stainless steel, providing high strength and resistance to wear, abrasion, and corrosion.

Effective Screening: The perforated design of punch plates allows for efficient screening and separation of particles based on size, making them ideal for use in industries such as mining, aggregate processing, and agriculture.
