- Cladding and Flooring: Data centre mesh can also be made into outside or inside cladding, as well as flooring
Perforated Metal for Data Centres
Perforated metal is widely used in data centres due to its ability to combine ventilation with durability. The evenly distributed perforations allow air to flow freely, supporting cooling systems and reducing the risk of equipment overheating. At the same time, the material is strong enough to form partitions and panels that withstand heavy use.
With over half a century of experience, Graepels collaborates closely with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality results. Through smart design, panels can be folded or formed to eliminate the need for welding—streamlining both fabrication and installation.
With options including stainless steel, aluminium, and high-tensile materials, perforated sheets can be tailored to suit the specific demands of secure environments. Bespoke patterns, gauges, and finishes make it possible to balance design flexibility with performance, creating mesh that is functional, secure, and adaptable for both large-scale and specialist data centre projects.
Benefits of Our Metal Data Centre Mesh
Choosing the right mesh solution brings both security and operational advantages:
- Durability: Manufactured from high-quality metals that stand up to long-term use in demanding environments.
- Ventilation support: Perforations and woven designs promote natural airflow, reducing strain on cooling systems.
- Security options: Mesh can form partitions or cages that restrict access without blocking visibility.
- Bespoke fabrication: Every sheet can be manufactured to fit specific layouts, with options for perforation patterns and materials.
- Sustainability: Metals are recyclable and align with data centres’ environmental goals while maintaining performance.
Mesh Security Cages for Data Centres
Security cages made from woven or perforated mesh partitions are trusted features in data centres. They create secure enclosures for racks and servers, controlling access while allowing visibility and ventilation. Mesh cages are often used to separate client equipment in co-location facilities or to provide extra protection around sensitive areas.
Unlike solid walls, mesh partitions and cages are lightweight, adaptable, and cost-effective. They can be manufactured to exact specifications, making them suitable for both temporary enclosures and permanent installations. With the added benefit of airflow compatibility, mesh cages support both security and operational efficiency.
