What is Alpha-Weave?
Alpha weave is a newly developed product that is manufactured bespoke using our woven wire pattern range. Alpha weave can be made to exact customer specifications.
Alpha weave needs to be framed or edged for rigidity and for a polished finish.

Woven wire mesh is available in a variety of materials, configurations, and weave patterns, allowing for versatility in design and application. It can be customized to meet specific requirements for filtration, screening, separation, reinforcement, protection, and more.
- Metal Types & Grades: High Tensile Steel, Stainless Steel, Galvanised Steel, Mild Steel, Corten and other materials by special request
- Woven Wire Mesh Aperture: The mesh size of the aperture should be chosen to make sure the legibility of text.
- Mesh Diameter: Heavier wires offer strength but are less flexible when it comes to forming the sheets into letters and text.
- Weave Pattern: Different patterns offer unique characteristics, in terms visibility and aesthetic preferences.
- Sheet Size: Graepels manufacture sheet sizes or panels to fit the alpha weave text but as this is a bespoke product we recommend speaking to the Graepels team.
- Finishes: The surface finish of the woven wire mesh can affect its appearance, corrosion resistance, and performance. Options include plain, mill finish, polished, coated, or painted finishes.
- Fabrication: General fabrication is offered for all our products for customers who do not fabricate themselves. Speak with the Graepels team for information regarding framing and other capabilities including folding and welding.
- Woven Wire Aperture (opening): 2mm up to 150mm but we recommend keeping aperture sizes down for legibility

- Pitch and Pattern: A variety of patterns are available from our standard, decorative and bespoke range.
- Woven Wire Mesh Thickness: 2mm up to 6mm thick
- Sheet Sizes: Panel sizes are a maximum of 6 meters long 2.44m wide, falling within the standard range.
- % Open Area: The standard open area is between 50%-70% again smaller open area works better for legibility of the alpha perf
