Graepels Latest Pattern–Perf Project

Here at Graepels we put innovation at the top of our list for all customer projects. Whatever the project or industry, we place much emphasis on developing the most advanced solution that achieves the project objectives in the most cost effective and aesthetically pleasing manner.

Our recent Pattern–Perf project is testament to this ethos of innovation. We were approached by Mary Immaculate College in Limerick to develop an enclosure that would discretely cordon off the waste area compound, while giving a modern feel to the grounds.

Pattern-Perf is manufactured by perforating symmetrically and repeating patterns onto metal plates in aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, corten, bronze or brass.

We manufactured a series of Pattern-Perf fencing screens that created an aesthetically pleasing enclosure for the waste compound area within the facility.

Graepels Pattern-Perf is an alternative to standard perforations, offering various patterns and perforation types used in a variety of applications including bin and bins enclosures, bike shelters, park shelters and much more.
Design Development

The height of the enclosure was three metres with varying widths. Each panel was folded and bolt holed along the vertical edge to facilitate ease of installation and to make removing individual panels accessible, should the need arise. The material used was 5mm marine grade aluminium with polyester powder coating in RAL 7001.

In consultation with Quinn Architects, Graepels developed a detailed design concept to ensure the manufacturing process was seamless and the solution delivered was cost effective.

This Pattern-Perf consisted of 7mm and 10mm diameter round perforations in a pattern of geometric shapes including squares, diamonds, and triangles.

Metal is an ideal material for applications such as waste area cordons or enclosures due to its sustainability, versatility and low maintenance requirement. Metal also provides strength and stability to the structure where other materials may not.

Using Pattern-Perf on metal allows you to add a sense of design and architecture to an otherwise unattractive area. Our Pattern-Perf metal enclosure is aesthetically pleasing while still retaining the strength, stability, functionality and economical attributes.

Pattern-Perf is a diverse product and can be used in many different bespoke applications that require a repetitive pattern such as balustrade, ceiling tiles and much more.
