Graepels Wirewall Panels
Precision Engineered for All Industries
Choose Wirewall for a Range of Applications
Wirewall is our own woven wire panel system, specified where you need a secure physical barrier that still lets air, light and sight lines through. Panels are supplied up to 2500mm wide with an open area of 65% to 90%, in high tensile steel, 304 stainless or 316 stainless.
We weave it, fabricate it and supply it ourselves from our sites in the UK and Ireland, so you buy direct from the people who make it rather than through a distributor.
Wirewall Technical Specification
The figures below are the capacities we work to as standard. If your project requirements fall outside these specs, please get in touch, and we will let you know what we can do.
The Benefits of Graepels’ Wirewall
Every Wirewall panel is made under ISO 9001 accreditation from NSAI and UKAS, and we are CE accredited to EN 1090. Where a project calls for a rated barrier, our security mesh is available tested to LPS 1175 at SR1 and SR2.
- Stronger Than Welded Mesh: Woven wire is up to three times stronger, so the barrier holds where it counts.
- Lower Installed Cost: Rigid panels need less supporting steelwork, which cuts both material and time on site.
- Airflow and Visibility Kept: A high open area means cooling and sight lines are not traded away for strength.
- Built to Your Drawing: Panels are made to your sizes rather than a catalogue standard.
- Delivered Ready to Fix: Panels arrive cut, framed and finished, with no work needed on site.
- Bought Direct: No distributor margin, and direct contact with the people running the looms.
A Turnkey Solution from Start to End
We handle the whole job in house, from drawing the wire through to delivering framed panels ready to fix. That means one point of contact and no gaps between suppliers.
Materials
High tensile steel suits work where strength is the deciding factor, and 304 stainless covers most general and interior applications. For coastal sites, wash down areas and anywhere chlorides are present, specify 316, which holds up considerably better against pitting.
Finishes
Panels can be supplied plain or mill finish, or polished, coated or painted where appearance matters. A coated finish lets the panel read as part of the building rather than as security kit.
Fabrication and Framing
Cutting, framing, folding, forming and welding are all carried out here, so panels leave us finished. Smart design at the drawing stage can often remove the need for welding altogether, which speeds up both the fabrication and the installation.
Industries and Applications
Wirewall suits any environment where access has to be controlled but airflow, light or visibility still has to pass.
- Data Centre Enclosures: Server rack cages, cold aisle partitions and secure suite divisions.
- Utilities and Critical Infrastructure: Substations, pumping stations and plant compounds.
- Warehousing and Logistics: High value stock cages, bonded areas, tool cribs and driver segregation.
- Machine and Plant Guarding: Guards for production cells where the process still needs to be seen.
- Building Services: Plant room enclosures, riser protection and ventilation screening.
- Transport Hubs: Airports, rail depots and ports.
- Government and Defence: Restricted zones, secure storage and controlled access areas.
For data centre work in particular, including cages, partitions and storage enclosures, see our data centre mesh page.
