We were delighted to spot our Picture-Perf metal cladding in this months issue of Irish Building! It’s located primarily on Autodesk’s new Reception Desk in EMEA headquarters, Dublin and is a total bespoke design.
Autodesk held their official opening recently in Dublin and Graepels were involved in producing the personalized panels for the Main Reception Desk and surrounding areas. There were several proposals put forward for the design of the various areas – Feature Walls, Reception and Wall panels and ceiling panels. The Architect was able to choose from white panel with triangles, various hex holes in a graduation pattern, and our Pattern-Perf which was a random hole option or 8 mm round holes at a staggered pitch that could also be a square pitch if required.
The design that was used incorporates the Autodesk logo. Grapels designed the tooling and layout for this Picture-Perf from Architectural schematic images. The blue lights shine through the perforated metal from behind. The black panels located at the bottom are hexagon shaped. The hex holes reduce in size from floor up. The white metal used in the AutoDESK logo panels was matte in comparison to the shiny black metal used under the desk and around the doors located throughout the office. We enjoyed working with Specialist Joinery Group, Northern Ireland who did the fit out.
The ideas for these pieces were taken from Graepels previous various works such as Spike Island 2016 and Cumberland House Design. They were then given their own twist to create these new designs for Autodesk!
